Mr Hassan Elmasry is non-executive chair at Independent Franchise Partners, LLP having previously served as the Firm’s managing partner and lead portfolio manager. He has 39 years of investment experience. Prior to co-founding Independent Franchise Partners, LLP, Mr Elmasry was a managing director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management.

He holds an AB in Economics and an MBA in Finance, both from the University of Chicago and is a CFA® Charterholder. Mr Elmasry joined Human Rights Watch’s London Committee and the organization’s Middle East/North Africa Advisory Committee in 2004. He joined the board of directors in 2007 and served as Co-Chair from 2013-2019. Mr Elmasry also serves as a Board member of the Investment Association.
